  1. Hi!
We have LOTS of Struts in an orange bucket and I play with them regularly with my three year old son. The cover of the original box is taped to the bucket so wondering if this is the photo you’re in? Happy to email it to you.
    Kindest Regards
    Heather

  2. We still have our orange bucket of Struts, my mother bought for our children in the 70’s. When our grandchildren come to stay they love building moveable objects with the Struts. We no longer have the book, but they soon workout how to use them (with help from their parents). I would never give them away, nor sell them.

  3. We have a green bucket of Struts which is giving our nearly 4yo grandson a lot of pleasure. Part of the label is still on the bucket showing a boy wearing t shirt with 24 on it.

  4. We just purchased a bag of struts from an op shop! Had never heard of it before, the toy is older than me. But it looked like a lot of fun, and entertained my family including 18 month old son and niece for an hour! Although, those wheel struts are a bit of a choking hazard for youngins

    • Hi Anne
was wondering if you still have them as I would love to be able to add them to the set I got my daughter when she was little…my grandson doesn’t really like lego but he likes struts

      • A good idea is to set up a permanent search alert on ebay, try a searach for: “struts educational toy” they come up every couple of months

  5. Nice to meet you from Japan.
I have found your page by Googled “Struts, Australia, educational toy”, because I have happened to find the orange colored bucket filled with many kinds of blocks with sticker “Australian Toy Award” at my home during cleaning our old rooms. Neither my mother nor me know why we have these beautiful toys.
I would like to appreciate for your efforts for detailed information of this products! These items are so good qualities.

We are not sure how to deal with this bucket, but I am wondering whether we can donate it to somewhere.

Thank you for your information about Struts!!

  6. I purchased an orange bucket full of Struts at an op shop today for my grandchildren. I vaguely recall seeing the toy in my children’s classroom. I was delighted to come across your website when I started to research some instructions. The plastic is obviously very sturdy as there are no chips or damaged pieces. I am really looking forward to my grandchildren playing with my “new” toy .

  7. We have just been given an orange tub of Struts for my 4yo. My friend’s 3 sons definitely got a lot of use out of it (there’s some chew marks and a few bent pieces), but it’s still so strong and amazingly good quality. She’s had it in storage for 30 years hoping the grandkids would get some use out of it!! Thanks so much for creating this site, I came looking for instructions and ideas of what to build (even though Mr 4 is instinctively just building!) and found all this amazing history. Must be one of the few locally made toys still in use.

  8. Hi We bought the orange bucket for our daughter when she was about 5yrs she is about to turn 43yrs old and our 5 grandchildren have all played with them. Today I got them out for her 4yr old he was excited to see what we could make.I have only just looked on line to see if they are still around. I will sell mine if I can. I’m trying to deClutter.

  9. Hi there, I just picked up a box of Struts but there is no booklet. Would anyone have some scanned copies or photos of the instructions?
    Thankyou, Kymberly
